Set Construction Begins

Set construction has began for the cabaret photo shoot. I toyed with the possibility of utilizing some theater stage space but here we are at the onset of theater arts season. As a result, nothing is available. The fallback plan was to construct a stage setting with are the garb, bells, and whistles that one would normally see in such a setting. There is so much wood here now you'd think we were building a house.

Despite having enough talent to choose from I've decided to extend the deadline of the model casting and will leave it open-ended for now allowing new talent an opportunity to shine. I'm thrilled about the creative potential and energy of this shoot. I see a lot of raw talent coming out to make some incredible photographic art.

Update 02/23/10

Set construction for the photo shoot is going fairly well. Due to the immensity of the project it has been decided to build two stages instead of one to maximize the time and get a more creative range on shoot day.

Update 02/26/10

I received more lumber today and the order was incomplete. This is the first setback for this project but its not a total lost. I now have time to complete some of my sketches for the set.
